This piece is a deep dive into my obsession—not just with the male form, but with the many faces of masculinity. MENagerie is my personal collection of love, lust, and longing, inspired by the word’s original meaning: a collection of wild animals. It’s a reminder that beneath all our layers, we’re still beautifully animalistic at our core.

The multiple eyes and figures are a nod to queer life and polyamory—interconnected stories and chosen families. The green carnations reference Oscar Wilde and the secret signals of queer history—quiet but powerful. Fruit (especially bananas, my favorite phallic food) returns alongside socks, an obscure metaphor for control, play, and the feeling of being a puppet.

I’ve kept my love of abstraction alive with playful making, patterns for texture, and a neon palette that refuses to hide—because I won’t dim myself to fit in.

One of the largest works I’ve created in some time, this piece is a celebration of beauty, desire, and the balance between realism and abstraction.
