Queer storytelling, public art-making, performance, and community care.
Threads of Pride is a community-centered art project planned and curated by Michael K. Davenport, celebrating LGBTQIA+ identity, resilience, and connection in Wichita. From community-created art inspired by the AIDS Memorial Quilt, to an art exhibition at Harvester Arts, to Pride Month performances, this project reflects the strength and creativity of queer voices coming together. Supported by the City of Wichita and the National Endowment for the Arts.
