I’ll be at Harvester Arts on August 22 making art live during the Wichita Forever Festival!

I’ll be bringing my community mural for everyone to help work on, while also constructing pieces on site for Surface/Self, my current installation project funded by The Arts Council.

This project has been developing through painting, installation, community participation, and a lot of experimenting, so I’m excited to bring some of that process out of the studio and let people see it happening in real time.

I’ll also have a selection of T shirts, hats, stickers, and art prints available throughout the day.

Wichita Forever Festival is a free, all ages event celebrating our local creative community, and it should be a really fun day of art, making, and connecting with people around Wichita.

Benefiting the Sweet Emergency Fund

I’m excited and incredibly honored to be emceeing A Starry Sweet A’fair, the annual fundraiser benefiting the Sweet Emergency Fund and its work supporting people living with HIV/AIDS.

Founded by Dr. Donna Sweet, the Sweet Emergency Fund provides a vital safety net for HIV/AIDS patients, helping with medical care and other expenses associated with living with HIV/AIDS.

I’ll be your MC for the evening as we celebrate the people, partnerships, generosity, and community that make this work possible.

As a queer artist and someone who believes deeply in the power of community, connection, and showing up for one another, getting to be part of an event like this means a lot to me.

Expect a night of art, connection, celebration, fundraising, and a little starry magic. I’m looking forward to being on stage and helping celebrate such an important organization and the people who make its work possible.
